The blue lotus, just below the main building and to the west of Anamaya's pool. This is the favorite room of many of our guests.

 

The lotus cabina has a roof deck with one of the best views on the peninsula. From here you can see whales and sometimes dolphines in the ocean below.

 

This photo shows the lotus cabina with the king-size bed configuration. The beds at Anamaya are designed to split into two, making two extra-long twin beds, when needed for yoga retreats, yoga teacher trainings, and other retreats.

 

The lotus room has the best view of any of the cabinas at Anamaya. This photo is taken early in the morning, with the sun newly risen in the east. The lotus has a deck with chairs, a hammock, and a hammock chair.

 

The king size bed shown. On the left you can see the open closet which is the best way to store clothing in the tropics. Bugs and mold like dark, enclosed spaces, so a good design tries to bring airflow and light throughout the living space. We believe this is one of the keys to eco-friendly living in the tropics... we try to create a living space inhospitable to bugs, rather than creating a situation like in ordinary hotels where bug control requires constantly spraying them (and thus our guests) with toxins. This cabina also has a small desk for your laptop.

 

The 'split king' bed configuration. The Morrocan-inpired beds are our own unique design, made in Costa Rica from cenizaro wood.

 

The lotus cabina shown at night. We have a variety of high quality bedding that we change from time to time. Our sheets are made from organic cotton or bamboo.

 

Facing east - the panoramic ocean and jungle views from this cabina make it one of the favorites here at Anamaya.

 

This is the view facing nearly directly south, towards the tip of the Nicoya peninsula. You can see Cabo Blanco national park in the background.
